Agramar, The Savage Land

In the land of the beasts, no one is king. You would be hard pressed to call any of the societies that flourish here civilized; warring tribes from a veritable rainbow of savages vie for territory and resources on this forsaken island. Though vast, its shores teem with throngs of orcs, minotaur, bugbears, catfolk, goblinkind and many more. Based out of barbaric strongholds warparties range the countryside, mercilessly preying on any unaligned folk unfortunate enough to run into them. The constant battles fuel intense rivalries, and often entire peoples will be dominated and assimilated only to revolt and bring an empire down from within.

Few have ever seen this place up close, fewer still have ever done so and lived. Reefs surround the the island nation, and sparse winds mean many a wind-born vessel has fallen victim to the catamaran of the locals, driven swiftly by the oars of the raging marauders they carry. Fortunately, the combination of low wind, vast ocean and crude workman/seamanship ensures that most crews from Agramar that dare the seas either go nowhere or find a watery grave. On occassion a battered vessel will find its way to far shores, but failing to carve out an isolated place to bolster forces generally means most of these refugees are dealt with swiftly by the more advanced and disciplined inhabitants.
